Two test actuators with red loading pads press on a padded chair seat—cyclic durability/fatigue test to assess indentation and long-term performance of furniture or automotive seats.

Furniture Testing and Vehicle Seats

Furniture testing includes, among other things, useability, safety and non-toxicity as the crucial criteria of furniture quality. The same applies to testing of vehicle seats.

We support you in developing your models from the prototype to a product ready to enter serial production, by testing accompanying your development, and by helping you to provide the respective safety proof for your products.

Manufacturers and wholesalers/retailers, who want to have their company-specific quality claim documented, will also find competent EPH specialists for foam materials, upholstery and mattresses.

Such services are also provided at our GS (German: Geprüfte Sicherheit) test laboratory for furniture NIMM-EPH Detmold.
